You are most welcome, and thanks for the kind words. I've used this upgraded sander now for over a year and it is much improved. More power & speed, and the ability to be more stable and accurate is also a plus. Also, it doesn't try to wander around on the bench since I added that 1/2" thick steel plate under it.

1/2" plate lol. At 20 pounds per square foot, that'll hold most anything down.....even when they aren't well balanced.

Frank S is right about Snap-on wrenches. I worked for an aerospace company that supplied me with any Snap-on tools that I needed but the wrenches were uncomfortable after extended hard use so I would find a way to trade them for something else, even Craftsman!! I even traded a Snap-on ratchet for a finer/smoother Craftsman!!

I am surprised that you needed that. I have no problems with mine wandering.

A distinct, unadvertised option of these; actual balancing or impressions of same. Sometimes the molded resin wheels aren't consistently dense, or spring post not proper tight sliding fit.
Mine is a Craftsman branded import, plank mounted with soft rubber feet. Iffy at first, using good 2x42 belts biggest improvement. I don't care for the disk, available grits at 6" diameter are unsatisfactory. I'm no Tuomas, but right angle grinder works fine.
