Motorcycle ramp loading fail - GIF

Interesting motorcycle ramp loading fail, with an assist by the tailgate, and a young guy who, though easy to criticize, did a good job taking a ramp to the face and shaking it off.

I'm not gping to be too critical here but most guys I know who load their motorcycles in the backs of pickups loose the tailgate first. Or at the very least drop the end straps so it will ramp down that way their ramps have a place to hook onto .
Taking it on the chin like that had to hurt.

a couple or one longer piece of angle could stop it slipping. I used bolts as well as two small holes are hardly noticeable & dont really need nuts as is just a locating thing & preventing the slippage.

I saw my B.in Law in trouble once when one of his ramps slipped while loading a tractor from a trailer to a truck. Stupidly I ran over, (while his staff were watching and awaiting the inevitable) and held the slipped ramp under the rear wheel while he gingerly reversed. I had the leverage with the ramp and those little B1750 Kubota tractors have great 4wd & the front wheel wasn't needed. He was in shock as well as embarassed : only his pride was hurt, but I was ready to drop & gallop if my instantaneous stupidid reaction failed=I'm no death wish hero nor B. Willis!LOL now. My eldest daughter says "if you were a cat you would have used all of your 9 lives.

I use a low deck trailer for my motos. The break over angle can hang a bike and cause all kinds of bad stuff to happen.

Even if he made it up the ramp, he couldn't have stopped before hitting the tool box or going thru the back window.
    Doomed to fail!

Maybe his plan was to get his front wheel right at the top then slam on the brake to lift the rear of the bike and the ramp and allow the ramp to self load and slide into place LOL

I have done that many times in the past (I stress in the past) and never had a fail, I would start my run from further back giving more time to get your balance and aim but I think he was just too nervous to make it work, taking his left foot of the peg too soon was a big mistake shame though.

looks like his foot slipped off the peg causing him to loose his balance.
Dislocated hyper extended knee or broken leg possibly both.
