This is a great idea. I never throw away any of my carbide inserts and have been waiting for an opportunity to regrind some of them. In the mean time, I just mark the damaged carbide tips with a black Sharpie so I know which tips to avoid using. I am going to try your technique and grinding jig. Thanks for the tip!
