Our system is very similar but our heaviest rolls are 60" diameter but only 6500 - 6800 lbs. We use paperboard stock and make bakery packaging. Our sheetfed Heidelberg press has a floor conveyor system that moves the rolls to the machine feed. The automatic splice roll stand (Martin Automatic) has an accumulator that allows for continuous run of the printer. The lead end of the incoming roll is fed into a device that holds it in position to splice to the end of the depleted roll. A piece of double sided tape is used to hold the two together through the press until the inline sheeter ejects the splice and surrounding sheets after they are printed. An HD forklift with a Cascade roll clamp is used to stack and store our roll stock. It's a really interesting process overall. If I get a chance, I'll post some videos.
