Some serious roughing metal removal.
I wanted to build a stagered one kinds like that for plunge serfacing Vw cylinder heads. but...I dont think my brain is up to getting it right and all the cutters depths even to make one smooth plunge cut aluminum cylinder heads. and be able to remove incerts for the different bore sizes ( 94mm,92mm,90.5mm.85..etc. and possiably for the 101 mm cylinders. these dam single cutter cutters tend to chatter. and putting the heads on rotery table is a pain in the ass centering every cylinder for each cut and use a 1.5"end mill or flycutter. but those do the best job ..but a time comsumer and pain. especialy the bige bores that have interupted counter bore.
