    Looks like a whole lot of bad welds. That cage should not have come apart like that.

    Back when you had to watch for dinosaurs on the roads, I helped a friend with his dirt track car. I talked him out of saving money on safety gear, so he got a new seat, good harness, helmet, etc.

    In one race someone hit him so he went straight into a wall. Estimated speed was 80MPH.

    He came out of that with big bruises where the extra wide harness was but he could move under his own power. When he got a chance, he shook my hand and thanked me profusely for talking him into getting gear above the minimum.

    His cage held. We'd also padded just about every bit of the cage incase of bouncing around.
