    I used an electric version of a needle gun to restore an unearthed (bricked up) inglenook fireplace, they are very effective, cleaned of over a 100 years of burnt on soot to clean bricks.

    26 years USN.= Needle scalers [needle gun];
    Used to run them.
    Then reached point where I only had to hear them.
    Finally forgot about them, yesterday!

    Now, starting all over again.
    Sincerely,

    I have 2 or 3 pneumatic needle guns that I use frequently they really work great for removing thick rust scale and caked on grease dirt probably better than sand blasting to get the thick stuff off.
    Never try to tell me it can't be done
    When I have to paint I use KBS products

    Scalers in general are very effective; removing paint and rust during work hours.
    Butt of jokes and derision all others.

    Worst of all, the 'deck crawler'. Essentially a mini Tennant anti-skid grinder, which in turn is a scaled up wheel dresser.
    Nothin'll scramble yer nads in the morning like that. Even the noise, heard many, many, bulkheads away. Many.
    Sincerely,

    Oh yes; the painting. Yet there is one pleasure.
    It was the best enamel I've ever used, already one favorite color.
