Do you know what melting point you need to reach for your chosen alloy? Unless you're swaging cores for jacketed ammo or loading for BP cartridges, pure lead isn't good for much these days beyond wadcutters and round balls. Post a note in our Help Me Build subforum and you're sure to get some helpful replies.
