    New from Houston

Just recently retired. Started using a Smitty 1324 for a year or so and sold it realizing I need to "upgrade" and am currently looking for a mill and lathe. Think I found a nice Pratt & Whitney lathe and a 'Port. Looking for ideas for projects in the future. Think I found a good place here.

Hi flylot - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Lots of recently retired guys here, so you'll fit in nicely.

What kind of projects did you have in mind? Do you see any here that you particularly like?

Oh, I'm like a kid in a candy store: oh, oh! That one, and that one, and.... and....

It's going to take some time before I start prioritizing some of these projects. I have interests in lathe and mill tools of course but also into gunsmithing. There is so much here! I will lurk about for a while and will soak up the information like a sponge! Thanks for being here!

I'm the same way. My projects list is so long it needs an index!

    Hi flylot,

    Welcome!

Count me in, too. So many projects, so little time.

Sounds like you're well on your way to some machining fun. What's first on your build list?

    Ken
