    new video: a simple means of slowing the down feed on a horizontal bandsaw

    This is a refinement of my last design which simulates a hydraulic cylinder for a low cost 4x6 horizontal/vertical band saw. The improvements in this design came from discussion on the yahoo 4x6bandsaw group. The intent is to employ this mechanism occasionally. If you do a lot of sawing of thin stock, a hydraulic cylinder is your best bet:
