Newb - short time member, long time tinkerer

I've always been one to take apart and reassemble anything I could just to see how it works, or if I could make one. Add to that, my grandfather was an avid carpenter in his wood shop, my father was a gear-head with a full shop, and I spent several years in residential and commercial construction. So I have seen and been inspired by handmade hand-tools, tool mods, and jigs of all sorts.

Now that my work days are spent in an office I have the time and energy to put my mechanical inclinations into hobbies and projects. So I am excited to have found this forum.

Sounds like you've got the ideal builder background and one shared by many here. You're in good company!

So, what sort of hobbies and projects are keeping you busy these days?
