High my name is Larry D. and I am a 75 year old education retiree. I have always been interested in woodworking, but never seem to have the time to do much. About 3 yrs. ago my wife and I move to a small rent house in south Tx. I wound up having to have another leg amputated so I am now wheelchair bound. About a year after we moved in our kitchen had to be redone. My wife and I tackled the job and got it done all on our own. I could not do much to help, but I could tell her what needed to be done and how to do it, and she did it. Since then we have tackled a new vanity in the bathroom and have several projects in the works. I just found this site and find it to be a great source for info and ideas.

I know what you mean about having the time. Seems like the more interested I become in something, the less time I have! Your education experience will probably come in handy around here. It's one thing to know how to do something, but much harder to explain it clearly to someone else

I've always thought that one never really begins to fully understand a topic until one attempts to explain/teach it to someone else. Great job on guiding your wife through the bathroom upgrade.
