    What happened to the story that Beryllium is poisonous, or at least highly toxic?

    It is, and chronic beryllium disease is no joke. The primary danger vector is inhalation, which is less likely with e.g. a wrench.

    From the SDS: NOTE: In the solid form in which it is provided, this material does not pose a health hazard. Subsequent operations performed by the end user, such as exposure to high temperatures, melting or grinding, may produce beryllium oxide dust or fume.     If it were my toolbox I'd cut foam slots to hold each wrench seperately so they don't bang into each other and get scuffed and scratched up. This is 0.1% about reducing the risk of dust exposure and 99.9% because they are HOLY CRAP expensive.
