Not exactly a home made tool, just a restoration of an old tool. The link to read about the restoration. Restoring old stuff makes me smile to see old iron brought back to life.

That's quite a journey, thanks for sharing. You just never know what you're going to get into with any project. That's what I love about this site. I get to look over the virtual shoulders of folks and pick upon tips, tricks and pit falls. It's made me jump at stuff I might have passed on and passed on stuff that might have tempted me.

The journey was fun. Still wish I had been able to go with the flat belt just for nostalgia.
