    As a retired Fire Officer, I can certify that in Australia, the tool is known as a HOOLIGAN tool. Because a bunch of Firefighters attacking a door with one are like a bunch of hooligans.

    My brother, a retired Fire Fighter here in the USA also calls it a Hooligan tool.
    For me, after 30 years in the USMC, it's too slow and labor intensive, shaped charge and I'm in pretty darn quick.

    It doesn't take 30 years in the corps to appreciate a little c4 or det cord, but it doesn't hurt.
