An other phone charging station : the charging pot

Hi,
A new idea for making a smartphone charging station : the charging pot :



It's actually a little woodturned vessel, that I have cut so that the telephone can stand into it.
The micro-usb cable enters the pot through a hole in the bottom, rear side, and the socket is inlaid in a dowel that goes through the pot from side to side.
The cable can easilly be set up at the proper angle before gluing the dowel into position.

The wood is apple tree and the finish is oil.

The implementation of the dowel is ingenuous. The style of the holder really has your signature look to it too

I like your phone charging stands and this one has the look and feel of your craftsmanship. I agree with jere about the way your incorporated the dowel in your design.
