Paint Shaker from a Brass Tumbler

This is a simple modification of a brass tumbler that will make it able to effectively shake paint. The key is changing (slowing) the motor speed.

It will be interesting to see if it shakes enough to bring the pigment that settles on the bottom of the can to the surface.
Good simple design if it works but I think it’s just a slower vibration rather than a good shake.
    Cheers and good luck.

If it doesn't seem aggressive enough for your particular application, two simple things that can be done to increase the "shaking".
One, replace the stock springs with longer or weaker springs.
Two, increase the amount of offset weight on the shaft.
I used this fabrication because it worked well for my particular needs, and it is a very easy modification.
