Must have blinked at same moment of each viewing.........the second clamp ISN"T a saddle, it's ATTACHED to the jackscrew tube.

The SMP Side Winder is the only flange spreader designed specifically to spread lap joint flanges, slip on flanges and all other styles of flat faced flanges.
The SMP Side Winder utilizes a pair of chain clamps and a tube attachment and drive screw assembly to effectively separate pipe flanges.
The Side Winder attaches to the pipe on either side of the flanges with chain clamps and is operated by turning the main drive screw inside the pipe spreader tube.
