    It came out of there like a snake. Can you imagine the wrecks o n the interstate overpass that would have caused if the guy hadn't directed it downward!! They use a technique here to line sewer pipes. So then if you had a 12 inch pipe, you now have a 10 inch pipe with that much less capacity.

    Not necessarily "that much less capacity" if the pipe they are lining had rough, corroded walls or offsets at bad couplings or if, as with residential laterals, the old deteriorated pipe was burst by pulling a steel "pig" through it before inserting the new smooth plastic liner.

    Actually, looking at the video again you see that the old pipe HAS been split so the new plastic liner is probably as large as the original pipe
