Watching that aircraft swaying, the strength of those winglets is unbelievable. This makes me think of the business jet's winglet that cut through the wing of a Boeing 737 over South America. The 737 crashed but the business jet hardly felt the impact.

Made me wonder what the guy under the wing was doing? Is he just a spectator? Was he supposed to be walking under the wing to prevent such an incident? When I was an aircraft mechanic for the USAF, we were taught to avoid such things. And if I'd just stood there and watched it happen without trying to prevent it, I might have gotten to buy the replacement parts and pay for the labor of installing them out of my munificent salary. I also wonder if he still had a job a couple of hours later.

I think that guy we see in the frame is looking the other way. Not sure where they are supposed to be looking, but for sure they did not see this incident.
