This Pipistrel Sinus 912, built by Paul Kuntz on PipistrelBuilders.com, is an extraordinarily detailed build of this Slovenian ultralight motor glider.

The Pipistrel Sinus is a two-seat high wing plane, built from composite materials and powered by a Rotax 912 80hp engine. This one has flown about 200 hours.

The builder is an electrical engineer, retired from the Naval Reserve and Boeing. He holds numerous ratings, including commercial, instrument, multi-engine, instructor, instrument instructor, and commercial glider. He was inspired to switch over to the Pipistrel Sinus project after working on a Cozy. His kids moved away, and he decided that a smaller plane would be more appropriate.

Of course this build includes a homemade tool or two, most notably a platform that raises the tail wheel to level the pitch reference template.

This is an incredibly detailed build, with so many photos and construction details that it should be referenced by anyone building a Pipistrel.
