    excellent video with just the right amount of editing! I've actually wondered about the feasibility of modifying a recip saw for scraping and you have demonstrated that it can be done.

    Don't really know anything about scraping besides a tiny bit I watched in a video a ways back. What's the benefit of scraping versus using some type of abrasive to take material off?

    I don't really know too much but have talked to some old machinists in the past and they all said a good scraper can get flatness down to mircon levels.
    It is all about the control, scraping can isolate the high spots.
    Do a search on you tube, there are a lot of videos on scraping.
