I would be trying to figure out a way to abscond with the Pullman while the sheet shakers were hypnotizing everyone else
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Maybe; you like trucks and already have probably 3 outsized vises.
I have 2 trucks that suit my plan; and without equivalent vise...but no serious vices!

So chivalrous! That poor woman's been captive who knows how long, trapped with at least two fingers in the jaws...Ms. S OK with that?

We all look at such tools, in how we'd fabricate. I haven't means to generate sufficient heat to bend for the jaws, yet bandsawing that first of 4" plate is not one bit outside realm of do-able. Thread the screw & nut, sleeve that with heavy wall tubing, big stub of wide flange, couple strips of leaf spring, turn & mill some one off fasteners, 1-1/2" rod for handle...I see the jaws sawn from a single long piece. Clamp upright, carbon arc or rosebud the neck of one, allow weight to pull it down 90°, quench and turn it around for second [shorter] side and repeat.
Lol, what it needs most of all isn't visible; padeye, fork pockets, or hoisting ring.
    Sincerely,
