Aluminum and steel shouldn't be a problem. As for plastics, I 3D printed collet holders in PLA and they are working great. You could print in PETG is you wanted more fuel resistance, but lubrication oil on the collets won't do much to PLA in my lifetime...

Thanks BuffaloJohn, that is great to know. I am just starting in 3D printing, so will use more traditional methods for a while. Once I get across the modelling and printing better, then I'll look at some PETG projects (3M backpack conversion for their half face respirator is one of the first projects I'm aiming for.)

I'll make a run with ACM first, and then worry about options later.
