The ultimate (usually) hose loosening tool is a cotter pin puller/ hook. Essentially a small drift punch, curved, with a screwdriver type handle. Web search will display many versions under "cotter pin puller" & "radiator hose puller".
Correctly formed type is around 1/4"Ø, 5" or 6" long and a offset portion leading into the 90° bent section and tip.
The design more like O-ring picks are not.
