Retired Engineer wants to play with miniature lathes!!!

Hi,

I am a retired communications engineer, and I enjoy metal and wood working.

I like thinks compact, I have a Unimat 3 and a Unimat SL1000 with almost complete tooling. I enjoy building stuff, and I am trying my hand in jewelry making.

I am glad I found this webpage!!! So many things to build!!!

I've got a ton of respect for the skill required to build small-scale items. Seems as though I'm always working on large "stuff"…

Take a moment to peruse our Machining and Woodworking category pages; you're sure to find one or two (hundred, at least!) tools and/or projects of interest.

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools, subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.
