Retired and now teaching and learning.

After retiring I needed something to do so I went to the local community college, worked in the machine tool shop, repairing machines, and now teach. In order to keep the classes fresh we change projects every couple of semesters. I make the prototypes, prints, and jigs to facilitate repeatability. I am always looking for interesting new projects that students would consider useful in their shop or garage.

    Hi atwatterkent,

Welcome! Glad to have you here.

As you peruse the site, you're sure to find a wide range of suitable ideas for student projects. Let us know what which ones you select…

When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools, subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.

    Ken
