Aren't you the same guy who said that you have Rotary Phase Converter plans that you'll send out for free, in this post? Can you post them?

Here is a new 7 1/2 3 phase motor for $ 550.00 .I buy motors for much less then $ 550.00 at the local salvage yard ( junk yard ). Never paid more then $ 50.00

I see them as low as $500, and into the thousands of dollars. $1,000 is a perfectly reasonable estimate.

Again - please post the free Rotary Phase Converter plans that you have mentioned.

I like seeing feedback (especially criticism) of any of the plans, or any part of the site. However, commenting that a product for sale online is also available elsewhere for free or at a lower cost (as G.Paul has now done twice) is a known competitive marketing tactic, that you may have even seen in customer reviews on Amazon or other online stores. I'd love to see the free plans he's mentioned, but it's increasingly looking like I'll have to separate out his posts and move them into another discussion.

I think that one of the reason that these plan are so popular is that the cost savings to the purchaser is substantial.

The link you posted:- (7.5 HP 1800 RPM 230/460 VAC 3PH 213T LEESON MOTOR) is in America. the prices quoted were in Australia, and yes they DO cost that much down under. Freight to get that motor to Assie (if they would even freight it here)would be of the order of $500.
As an example, some years ago I bought a 21 quart canner from the states, I paid $30 for it,....it cost me $130 to get it here.

Whilst I'm online, and posting, I have a question for David, if you would be so kind as to provide the info.
Given that modern generators often use "capacitor control" (rather than an AVR) and that it has been shown that an ordinary synchronous motor will generate provided that it is driven slightly faster than the plate speed and a suitable capacitor is included in the circuit: is it possible to achieve the same result with a 3 phase motor, and what would the circuit schematic look like ( bearing in mind our Assie grid configuration, the motor would be wired star or delta with single windings on each leg at 240 volts)?
