    Assuming the handles were there to assist in the quick removal of the rubber bands without having to ouch the film
    Never try to tell me it can't be done
    When I have to paint I use KBS products

    Yes this was so you didn't have to dig under the film or tape to take them off. (We used them for reel-to-reel audio and video tapes, too) I've seen big ones on old school data tapes too...
