Perhaps not a pantograph in the strict interpretation of this term but rather better described as a lathe profile copying device. The addition of an illuminated touch point sensor is a very good idea.

Nice idea. could you explain how you wired the indicator light? Is the saddle/cross slide isolated from the tail stock?
per il cablaggio, molto semplice, ho usato una pila a litio da 3.7V con una piccola resistenza in modo da abbassare il voltaggio a 3,2V. il positivo del led è collegato direttamente al positivo della batteria. Tramite un piccolo magnete saldato al terminale del negativo, posso collegare il led alla massa. ovviamente la slitta/ sella è isolata dalla struttura.
