Shop Made Quick Release Coping Saw

I needed a coping saw a while back and figured since I don't have a need for one very often I purchased a cheap one I found on ebay. I thought it was a good deal as it also came with 4 assorted blades. Well, it lasted for four uses before the pot metal blade mounting hardware snapped off. At that point I figured I'd try my hand at making one. Here is what I came up with:

I kept the saw as strong but light as possible. It comes in just under 8oz. ...


Anyway, the saw works nicely and am happy with how it turned out.
