Simple Router Spindle/Base plate Alignment Tool

My son was having poor results with his new router. Seems that it was not cutting straight even with the use of a straight edge.
I found the round base was not centered with the spindle so this little "button" lines everything up before fastening the base screws.

One piece of .250" drill rod and a chunk of aluminum turned to the diameter of the center hole in the base.
