    Small swivel welding table

    Hi all
A few months ago I design and built a small swivel welding table.

As I had not a lot of room that time I choose a rotating design over an ajustable foot :

To fix easily pieces to weld I choose to use a table with oval-shaped holes with the right size of T nuts for mill :

I bought a laser cut steel plate (10 mm thickness), the circular hole plates was laser cutted too.

Here is an exemple of the T nuts I use to fix pieces to weld :

The current swivel mechanism is made of steel (notice the grease) :

The maximum stroke is a little above +- 50 °.

I have also manage to potentially add a rotating shaft in the future below the swivel plate to help me welding pipes or circular beads.

The table is adjustable in height : I used 2 squared pipes with a small clearance (100 and 90 mm).
And I glued 4 PE sheets to ease the displacement :

The whole structure is designed to be stable and I used wheels (with brakes) to move it easily.

As you can see, all beads are not nice, but they are strongs.
I made tests with offcuts and also made beads cuts with my mill or manual disk grinder and see how deep the beads was !

I used this new table these last months to improve my welding skilness.

I appreciate a lot the "Steve Bleile" welding lectures in Youtube : very nice to analyse and see precisely what happens and what are the consequences of current, gestures, electrodes,...

Now I am using 7018 electrodes which I was unable to use a few months ago !

Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask me questions.
