looks dangerous, especially on super slick floors with the reduced contact area due to the rollers. Thos shoes cold never work on softer surfaces like carpet dirt or gravel either. Then there is the whole the more you rely on technology to prevent you from falling the higher the likelihood that technology will fail when you need it the most

My Dad had Parkinson's for about 25 years. There are some weird product that you would think would NEVER work, but do. Here's one of those products:

Yeah, I like their thinking on the shoes, but this isn't ready for prime time yet. Or maybe I just don't totter enough on flat surfaces yet.

I have Parkinson disease. This device would help some of my friends symptoms and mine when they get bad enough. There are other devices that help that you should see. If I can ask, please donate to the Parkinson disease foundation to help find a cure for this disease. Thanks

My mother-in-law had and my sister-in-law has Parkinson's. One of the most effective reminders when her feet go(et)t stuck is, "Big Step!" It's a foot mover.

I had said 25 years before, but that was just after it was diagnosed. My father kept trucking with Parkinson's for like two decades and kept working as a carpenter. It was strokes and his heart that finally made him stop working. You can go for a really long time and have a normal life so don't lose hope.

One tip though, DO NOT EVER stop taking your medication. My father took his medication for years and was fine with minor adjustments, then decided he was going to go cold turkey and tough it out. It basically caused him to crash and it melted his brain. He aged about 15 years in a few months, loss of motor control and he went really crazy. He was never the same after that.

I take my meds religiously and do boxing and yoga each twice a week. It helps my balance and my coach does mind games (alphabet in reverse, counting steps and clapping etc) to help make new Neurologic connections in my brain. I have also succeeded in standing on the 1-3/4” edge of a 2X4 for 1-1/2 minutes. Nobody else has done so. Some day I hope to record it and put it on you tube. Thanks for making me smile and cheering me on. I appreciate it.
