Too late for my 7.00x22.5 tubeless tires on the 1956 Chevy, which are unobtainable. Dang. I wonder what this spray is. Just looks like some sort of black thin tar that will let sunlight damage it before the main carcass of the tire.

There are several products on the market that supposedly will prevent your tires from dry rotting. Many are little more than snake oils. Some can and will slow the process but nothing will completely stop a tire from aging the ozone in the rubber is eventually going to leach out to a point where the rubber compound in the tire will become too hard and brittle to stay together. Having said that, I have pulled old tires out of storage areas that were dark and nearly a stable temperature of around 50to 60 degrees 70 year old tires looked and felt almost like new but once installed and inflated quickly showed deep check in the sidewalls. A little colorless high spf mineral and water sunscreen made them look better. Whether they were better or not I doubt it since once checking starts the damage will always be there
Preventing the sun's UV rays from the tires and cool temperatures, mid-range humidity. storing a vehicle on blocks or driving it a few miles once a month does wonders.
