Track N Go wheel-driven vehicle tracks - GIF, video, patent

Wheel-driven vehicle track system. Around $25,000. Gimmick or gold? No idea. Looks great in a GIF, but my first concern would be it getting stuck. At least with a snowmobile, you can dig/wrestle it around to get it unstuck.

Looks like there's some patent history here, most notably US patent #8776931:

Wonder how long the steering components will last when using these attachments for anything but straight line use.

Steering, yes and what about the thin side walls on modern tires. At that price at least bolt them on as thy have proven to be resonably successful.
When looking at all toys at least look to keep the parts count down.

Any video of these in action? Trails, mud, snow, anything to prove they’re worth a damn?

Might also be good for planetary exploration lander's with some mods for environment and other possible configurations...and solar/electrically powered.

Rubber, or rubber-like treads on moons/planets with little or no atmosphere.? Wouldn't oxidize but the temperature and un-moderated UV would play havoc.

There's a reason our lunar golf-cart and various robots had/have metallic mesh tires.
