A Universal Centering Tool For a Drill Press

This centering tool finds the centerline of any round or rectangular stock clamped into a drill press vise in less than one second. My tool can handle stock from 1/8-inch to 1 1/2-inches wide but the idea can easily be extended to any width.

I'd have never thought to expand size/ range of this type of centering tool. Only I've seen are quite small, to drill shotgun ribs while placing sight beads. Some are just a punch, some have tap drill bushings, many beads are threaded 3-56 and 6-48.

    Bloody obvious in hindsight

Why are so many things thus?

Congratulations for being one of the few with the foresight to create this
