My Grandfather was a machinist at The Messina works until he transferred to the Quad Cities when the new plant opened in '47 or '48 (IIRC for the year). He taught machine tooling at Messina during WWII. He also cast the Clifton Award trophies and made the scale models of "The Cars of the Future" for the automobile "Golden Jubilee" in Detroit/1946.Originally Posted by Jon
