Due to the height of the pivot center above the vice jaw you have a predictable bend radius which would be great for bending 1/8" thick aluminum. I don't know how many guys I have encountered over the years who had trouble when trying to bend thicker alum.because their box breaks or folding type breaks had the pivot almost on direct center of the bend which would cause the alum. to crack unless they annealed it first
I like your simple little attachment mostly for this reason
