Wall Plugs Removal Tool | Wall Anchors Remover Tool - Video

How do you remove wall plugs?

I know... there are some known ways to extract them: like using a screw & plier, or using a corkscrew... (I also show it on my video)
But still, for a long time I tried to think of a tool that will remove many plugs much faster.

Finally, I challenged myself to make such tool, using a bearing.
I know... It may seem like an 'overkill solution'... but can be useful if you have a lot to remove.

BTW - At my home the walls are made from cement blocks & also concrete walls, so I can't just push the plugs like in a drywall.

You can watch the making and using of the tool below:
(Don't miss the test at the end of the video )

Let me know what do you think about the idea, what would you improve?

Not sure I'd have use of it, though put a substantial number in. But that is immaterial; more important is the ingenuity and simplicity involved, after-all that's fulcrum of toolmaking, solutions.
    Sincerely,

    Thank you Toolmaker51!
    You're right.
For me it was a great satisfaction that I was able to find a solution to the goal I set for myself.

It took me some time to solve 2 major challenges in this tool were:

    1. How to pull the plug from the wall - Initially I didn't think of using a bearing. I started with just a hole in the wood, but of course that the screw was just fasten the wood to the wall, because it couldn't rotate freely. Later I bought some bearings for other project and then I thought of using it and it worked great!
BTW a friend of mine who saw the video, told me that he wouldn't use such tool, but he didn't know about the idea of the bearing, so it's good to learn.

    2. How to release the plug from the tool - I tried to look for a kind of push button (on Aliexpress) that will hold the plug in the tool without moving, but didn't find something. Finally I found the small metal spring at home, and it worked great with the hot glue and the improvisation with the screw.

Challenge completed successfully, but it's really overkill. The simple solution is just to drill them out, much quicker and easier.
