Learned as much machining possible, as quickly possible for same reason. First shop had big Blanchards and Thompsons; had to be 50 gallons plus. Water soluble fluid was mixed by a venturi drawing from barrel of concentrate. Not high on list of enjoyable tasks. Rotary grinders were used prepping compression molds; big surface area, always both sides, very flat but not much concern about specific thickness. Lots of goo in the tank.
