    I can see some fun uses for that thin sheet it cuts off!!!

    Yep break it up and sell it as termite feed ha,ha just kidding it could be cut up and used as a very thin inlay though or maybe used to make modelers plywood. 4 to 8 or even 12 layers laminated and pressed into plywood would make great scaled thickness ply wood for model aircraft

    No chips! Time was, using hand plane, proper evidence of a sharp iron was that shaving action; so sheer you could read text through it.
