Tim: I like that plan....definitely worth considering, as it would speed up (and neaten) things considerably. I also use disks for my power sander pad and sheets or disks of the Mirka or Abranet screen which I'm currently storing in a tool organizer from Home Depot. It's got enough 3 1/2" bins so I can have one bin per grit with a couple left over for miscellaneous, used pieces or 3M-type non-metal pads, so it works well for that, but roll storage has eluded me until your suggested method...
