Judging by where he had his hand placed on the nozzle, I'm not convinced he wasn't playing around. He looks to be a much heavier guy than his partner but notice the other guy's water stream never wavers, also he turns and looks at the camera just before the acrobaticsOriginally Posted by Hoosiersmoker

Yup, Frank S is right; it's a trick, intentional.
That grip all the way to the nozzle keeps it out of his face on the way back; adds the leverage to get him back up.
The other guy is just doing his job. IIRC the common busy-ness; before there were more cameras than flies.
