10" Disc Sander from re-purposed skil saw

This is my first submission, a 10" disk sander made from a plywood box, some steel brackets, a couple of hinges, a plate of aluminum, toggle switch, a hose clamp, some hardware and a 10" sanding disc for a table saw.

Its quite powerful and although the motor is not rated for continuous duty, most sanding doesn't require more than a minute two. If motor ever burns out, used skil saws are ubiquitous at garage and yard sales.

In a similar application I've got a calibration disc for my table saw that I put sticky back sanding discs onto and I use it some for precision sanding and it works quite well. I use my cheap Horror Freight belt sander a lot more though.

I'm a fan of using existing affordable components too and see very little value in reinventing the wheel just because I can.
If you can't make it precise make it adjustable.

I have an old circular saw that has the guard broken off. I've been saving it for probably 10 years, now I have a use for it. Very clever idea.
