There is a 2021 Ford F250 4 door cab sitting in my driveway right now 'not mine', that can not only haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood with the tail gate closed but can haul a stack of it weighing 3,600 lbs and stay within the MFR's suggested GVW. But I'll stick with my 93 F350 crew cab diesel and my 91 F250 super cab diesel for real work, I don't have to use furniture blankets to prevent scratching the paint. but when it comes down to it I can put 1,800 lbs worth of 4x8 whatever in my 2004 Expedition
people who buy those crew cab pickups with the 5 ft beds are the reasons why a half decent pickup costs 40K now and one specked out with all of the creepy comforts can go as high as 100k and still none of them gets better mileage than my 30 year old trucks do and I don't have to put up with the engines stuffed under the dash of all of that plastic and the goofy electronics, air bags wifi gps tracking or some computer telling the thing when it has low tire pressure or the wiper fluid is low the expedition excepted
