Aux Jaws for 4" Kurt Style Milling Vise with prints

The dimensions of these jaws are for an Import Kurt Style 4" Milling Vise.
The original jaw can only fit in one position since the mounting holes are not centered.
I wanted to be able to use both the top and bottom of the jaws for different purposes.
The jaw mounting screws are 6 mm on my vise so I slotted the mounting holes to fit.

    Several versions are shown.
    Original
Soft for future milling as necessary.
Soft with built in "parallel" function.
Steel with 1/4" pins for odd and circular shapes.

Each of the jaws can be used on either the top or the bottom as needed.

    Cheers, JR

A suggestion is a couple of dowel holes on the inside face could locate stock for precision machining. Angle blocks or trig can accurately locate the holes. Pic is only to demonstrate. Doesn't have to be that complicated. I only use 3 angles.

Thanks, JJ for your great post.

Nice fixture you have there Saltfever. Yup, the jaw faces can always be setup
for various needs. That is another reason I like aux jaws.

    Cheers, JR
