    Bamboo toothpick machines - video

Bamboo toothpick machines. I'm not sure what's going on here.

A woman is trying out these machines in a parking lot? And that's why they're falling to the ground, and she has high heels, long sleeves, long hair? Because this is just a demonstration?

And it takes this many different machines to make a bamboo toothpick? And each machine is individually operated by a person? Who somehow manages not to have their hand amputated? Or each machine is a separate component in an automated manufacturing process?

Yes Jon the machines were simply being demonstrated or more probably just being tested, the worker was having to pickup and hand load the machines since they had not been fully installed in a conveyor flow process system yet.
At least 2 of the machines torawds the end of the video were sharpening machines.
Also did you notice how in almost every video we see where an adjustable (IE Crescent) wrench is used they somehow seem to use them backwards by pulling against the movable jaw.

The Crescent wrench "wrong way" thing is mostly false. Check out this video by AvE on it. WARNING: He uses some strong language in his videos.

Interesting. I think the jury's still out on the crescent wrench right/wrong bit, but I'll take a look.

I think AvE has a lot of contributions to make to DIY internet culture, but he pushes a bit too hard sometimes, and I'd like to see some of his videos edited for length.

I agree on both counts. But here's the thing with Crescent wrenches. I had an industrial arts teacher tell me I was using a Crescent wrench the wrong direction. I told this to my dad and he laughed and pointed out how most Crescent wrench heads are set at an angle to the handle like an open end wrench so, in tight quarters, you could turn it over to get a better angle on a nut.
