Hello to everyone,
I would like to share with you one of my favorite projects, the bench grinder tool rest.
My bench grinder didn’t have tool rests. So, I decided to do something about it; I wanted a tool rest to help me grind accurately HSS and carbide tools. I searched the web and found a few different types; the one that attracted my attention is commercially produced by VERITAS®. So, I tried to make something similar as well as adding a few extra features to make it more versatile.
You will find three series of pictures showing the construction of the tool rest; each series is followed by a video as well. I hope that you will find it interesting.
All the best
Dimitris

Now, if anyone wants to make this 'tool rest', here are some pictures with measurements (is in metric system, but you can easily convert it in inches).
I know that drawings would help a lot; unfortunately I don't have drawings, because I don’t know how to make them.
Best wishes
Dimitris
