I'm looking at making one of these for our new shop, I have a very well aligned 4x6 bandsaw here but can't take it with us. So it will sell, probably cheap and after a discussion here decided to just go with the hacksaw and save some money + space.

BUT, it WILL be faster than the one at our ranch. Watching that is worse than counting sheep, you'll get in a good long nap by the time it's done.

I see there's also some 3x4 or 5 bandsaws that use a brushed motor and are cheaper than the 4x6, but there I times I need all of that space.
